Our Global FOCUS
As of Summer of 2022, we have completed our first Global Missions Focus for Arise. Our FOCUS was a concentrated effort to assist our missionary in Estonia, Beth Ann Erickson, in the launching of the ”Foundations for the Next Generation” project. Our church walked alongside Beth Ann in the development and implementation of this project beginning in 2019. This project expands the opportunities for gospel impact among young people in Estonia by providing a location for relationally based evangelism and discipleship. The Refuge Apartment is fully equipped, staffed, and functioning on a daily basis hosting various ministry groups, events, and even interns throughout the year. You can read more about our completed FOCUS Partnership goals HERE.
While we partner with many local and international cross-cultural opportunities, Arise Church Denver elevates one FOCUS project for intensive engagement. What’s our next FOCUS? Stay Tuned…More to come!

15 Ways to Pray for Missionaries
By far, the greatest way we can support our missionaries in true partnership is to regularly pray for them. In addition to specific prayer requests mentioned in their newsletters and websites, here is a list of ways you can pray on behalf of your missionaries.
Love for God
Pray that your missionaries will love God so much that they will always want to serve Him.Love for others
Pray that God will help your missionaries love each other and everyone else (1 Thessalonians 3:12).A deeper relationship with God
Pray that your missionaries would follow Jesus’ example. It’s hard to imagine any missionary having a busier life that Jesus did; yet He always took time to pray to His Father.Spirit-controlled lives
Pray that all of your missionaries will do what God wants them to do.The fruit of the spirit
Pray that your missionaries will live so others can see them doing things that show they love God.Wisdom and knowledge
Pray that missionaries will know they have good thoughts, be honest, love peace, be kind to others and obey God as you can read in the Bible (James 3:17).Courage
Pray that God will give your missionaries courage to pray as Paul did in Ephesians 6:19, that every time they will speak God’s Word.Receptive hearts
Pray that God will help your missionaries find people who want to learn about Jesus.Disciples
Pray that your missionaries will be very happy to teach people to obey everything Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:20).Strong faith
The apostles once asked Jesus: “Increase our faith!” Pray that your missionaries will have great faith that will lead them to ask great things of our Lord.Steadfastness
Pray that your missionaries will follow Paul’s advice to the Corinthians: “Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).Strong family
Living in other countries can be hard for the missionaries. Pray that missionary families will be close to one another and have stronger families.Protection
Sometimes missionaries are in danger. Join Jesus in praying to the Father: “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one” (John 17:15).Material needs
Missionaries often have to live in places that are not comfortable. They may have no running water, hard beds and no stoves. They may not have very much money. Pray that God will give them the things they need so they can do their work “according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).Health and strength
Some places in the world today are not safe. Missionaries may be sick, or someone might steal from them. Pray that God will make them healthy and strong so they can bring Him glory and have all the good things they need.
